There are several methods of installing the Syncle widget on your website.
The Syncle widget can be installed in any online store. Installing the Syncle widget is a simple operation.
π‘We highly recommend placing your Syncle script on all pages of your online store. This will allow you to easily manage content for PDPs and non-PDPs alike. The script will not affect pages that are not configured for the widget.
There are two methods:
1. Direct installation into the platform's product page template
There are numerous out-of-the-box and customised platforms for online stores such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, etc. Some retailers also choose to create their own platform from scratch. Still, installing Syncle is similar for all platforms: you simply have to add our Javascript-snippet (aka the Syncle tag) to your product page template. This is the recommended way to implement Syncle.
2. Tag managers
You can also install Syncle directly via Google Tag Manager (GTM). Installing the widget using GTM usually takes around 3-5 minutes.
Read our GTM step-by-step guide on installing Syncle with GTM
Adobe Tag Manager is an alternative solution with a process similar to GTM.
π‘Some plugins help manage header and footer scripts without modifying the theme's code (if you're using Wordpress, for example).
Testing the widget
You can test the widget in your testing or development environment by adding the test domain in the Syncle tool's settings. Read more about testing here.

What happens next?
After the tag has been installed we gather your store's products into our database as product pages are visited. You will gradually see more and more videos appearing alongside your products. All video content undergoes checks by our curation team to ensure content is relevant, high-quality and sends a positive message.
You will also receive logins to Syncle - your video management tool. (Read our step-by-step guide)
