Importing videos and products

Your Brands tool makes uploading, linking and distributing videos to your retailer network quick and easy.

💡Here are some best practice tips to help you get started:

  • Whenever possible, we recommend opting for original videos files (e.g. MOV, MPG, MP4,...) over YouTube links. This is because YouTube links can expire or break, after which those links will then not be shown in the player. Luckily we support several video formats!

  • We recommend including the product name in respective video titles, wherever possible

These are the key steps when uploading content

  • Importing and labeling videos

  • Importing products

  • Linking videos and products

Importing and labeling videos

You have several options to choose from when importing products/videos:

Option 1: Uploading videos and products separately.

This method is recommended for smaller imports as less preparation is required.

Importing your products

  • Go to 'Products' under the imports section

  • You can either upload a file (using this downloadable template), or add products one by one

  • Make sure to include the products' EAN/GTIN/UPC code and full title

Note: All fields are mandatory.

Adding all variations of the product, with associated Product Name and EAN/GTIN/UPC will help the system match products more accurately and ensure the videos are displayed on as many PDPs as possible.

If you have variant specific videos which should only apply to that variant(s), it is better to also use the variant specific name in the Product Name field, in order to separate them in the system.

Importing your videos

  • Go to 'Videos' under the imports section

  • You can either fill a template file with Youtube video links, manually add YouTube links to the input in the UI or manually upload video files.

If the videos you're importing share common properties (brand, genre and language) you can assign these in bulk prior to importing.

Default properties for videos include:

Linking videos and products

Using this method requires you to manually link products to videos, or vice vers, either via the 'Video' or 'Products' tabs.

Here's how:

  • Go the the video or product card

  • At the top of the card find the “Link more” button

  • Click on the button and select content for linking

  • Click on “Save” and check all linked content

Oops! Made a mistake? Not to worry: you can unlink videos/products from the video or product card.

Publishing videos

Almost done: all that's left is to publish your videos!

Published videos will be reviewed by our team and go live max. 48 hours after you publish them. Our review will also take into account any schedule you have set for product launches.

Your video thumbnails will feature status updates.

Option 2: Uploading videos and products together.

To use this method, you should follow these steps

Go to 'Products' under the imports section

  • You can upload a file (using this downloadable template) which contains either YouTube video links or direct download links to a video file.

  • Make sure to include the products' EAN/GTIN/UPC code and full title

This method requires manually setting Brand, Genre and Language of the video, but automatically links the products and video. This can be quicker and easier than option 1, as you can multi-select videos in the 'Videos' section of the portal in order to set fields for several products at once.

Default properties for videos include:
